Message for 2016
As we embrace the start of a new year, I feel blessed and grateful to announce the publication of Sukhmani Sahib – the Jewel of Peace. Composed by the fifth Sikh Master, Guru Arjan Dev ji, in the 16th century, this English poetic interpretation hopes to bring inspiration and light to those who read it. Completing this translation and seeing it come to life in a physical form has truly been a milestone for me. It took over eight years to complete this work. Many people have contacted me since reading it, expressing their appreciation. When you spend nearly a decade on a single project, something inexplicably magical happens when others can participate in what you have done. Suddenly, every breath, every tear, every moment of frustration and triumph – all that effort becomes exponentially more satisfying because other people are enjoying and benefitting from it.
These days, I feel my health returning, my energy increasing, and my longing to teach growing. So my prayer is that in 2016, I will have a chance to teach more. And will be posting my physical and virtual teaching schedule soon.
Life has so much potential for joy, fulfillment, satisfaction and peace. Even though the world looks like it is falling apart these days, actually, this is just an opportunity for something new and beautiful to emerge on the horizon. May your 2016 be filled with the Spirit of the Divine, whispering in your ear, guiding your heart, so that every breath you take expresses the wonder and majesty of the miracle that you are.
Yours in Divine Light,
Ek Ong Kaar Kaur Khalsa
